PE kit policy

Thanks to the support of parents and students, the Physical Education Department at The Bicester School has an excellent level of participation by pupils in all year groups.

Please help us to maintain this high standard by ensuring that your son/daughter follows the school PE Kit policy detailed below.

After discussion and consultation with students, it was clear that often students felt uncomfortable taking part in PE when there were others in the class in school uniform, who were watching and not participating.

For this reason, the policy of the PE Department is that students bring PE Kit with them and get changed, even if they are injured or unfit!

Students will then be given a role in the lesson that will not need them to be as fully or strenuously involved as normal, for example as scorekeeper, referee or peer observer.

If students forget their PE Kit:

First time: Students will be reminded to get more organised and not to forget it again.

Second time: Students will have a PE detention and a text message home, C2 is also logged.

Third time: PE departmental detention, phone call home and C2.

Forth time: Parents are called in for a meeting to discuss the issue.
