As from October 2022 all students and staff will belong to one of four houses.

Each House will be led by a senior leader and supported by an Assistant Head of House, tutors and House Captains.

Each House will be represented by a colour and name, with its own sense of identity.

The House System at TBS has been designed to give all students the sense of belonging to a smaller community within the whole school community.

The House system’s aims are:

  • To develop cohesion between year groups (yr7-yr13)
  • To create a friendly, yet competitive element to school life
  • To develop leadership qualities
  • To promote our ethos of Respect, Resilience and Responsibility.

The intention is that all students take part in a range of competitions, activities and opportunities available to them to promote and extend their learning beyond the classroom.

It is our hope to recognise and reward students for House participation, contribution, attendance and punctuality.

Combined House points will culminate in a House winning the House Cup for that Year, therefore it is vital that all students embrace the challenge and opportunities that arise.
