Prospective students gain a glimpse into Sixth Form life at The Bicester School

On Wednesday 14 November, The Bicester School held its Sixth Form Open Event for prospective students and their families, welcoming in new faces, as well as current students.

Visitors were able to take a look around the Sixth Form facilities, including its Common Room and Library, along with the chance to speak with individual departments and specialist staff about their subjects and what the Sixth Form can offer. Everyone was then guided into the Lecture Theatre for a talk from Head of Sixth Form, Jonny Tridgell, Head of Year 12, Gareth Ladd, and a group of Sixth Form students, covering what to expect in Years 12 and 13 and why The Bicester School’s Sixth Form is going from strength to strength.

The Bicester School offers 27 different subjects (including A-levels and Level 3 BTEC qualifications), which provide a personalised programme of study that allows students to make progress and prepare them for Post-18 education and work.

To apply for the Sixth Form, please visit our website’s ‘Sixth Form’ section. We would recommend applying as soon as possible to be in with a better chance of securing your chosen courses.

From The Bicester School, we want to thank all those who joined us for this event, and we hope we made it an enjoyable and informative evening, and that you are considering joining us in September 2019.

If you missed the event, or want another look around, please contact us on (01869) 243331
