Students celebrating strong GCSE results

Students at The Bicester School were celebrating following some strong GCSE English and Maths results in a year of great change with new reformed GCSEs coming on stream for English Language, Literature and Mathematics.

75% of all GCSE English students gained a grade 4+ (equivalent to a grade C) in English, with more than two thirds doing the same for Maths (67%).

And six out of ten GCSE students gained a grade 4+ in both English and Maths.

Examples of students who achieved stunning results include:

  • Jowita Dudzik – 8 in Maths, 7 in English, 6 A*s, 4 A grades
  • Jodie Twitchen – 9 in English, 8 in Maths, 6 A*s, 4 A’s
  • Clare Brooks – 9 in English, 4 A*s, 5 A’s
  • Chiara Brown 9 in English, 9 in Maths, 5 A*s, 4 A’s
  • Jasmine Truscott 8 in English, 7 in Maths, 7 A’s
  • Meghan McCauley – 9 in English, 7 in Maths, 2 A*s, 5 A’s.
