Before we broke up for the summer holidays, I was tasked with the job of completing our application for our school games mark. I am very happy to let you all know that we have achieved the GOLD AWARD!
The School Games Mark is a government-led award scheme that recognizes schools for their commitment to developing competition, sport, and physical activity for all young people. It celebrates how well a school promotes sporting opportunities, teamwork, and healthy lifestyles both within lessons and through extra-curricular activities.
Achieving the Gold Award is a fantastic achievement because it shows that our school is providing high-quality sports provision, encouraging wide participation, and helping pupils build skills like resilience, cooperation, and leadership. It reflects the hard work of both staff and students and demonstrates that we are creating a positive sporting culture where everyone can get involved and succeed
