UNIFORM SUMMARY

Throughout the school day, students should be dressed in full school uniform. Students are also expected to travel to and from school wearing the correct uniform. It should be remembered that while in uniform students are representatives of the school and are expected to follow school rules, whether or not they are on the school site.

  Casual trousers, such as jeans, leggings or cords are not acceptable.

Jewellery, hair and make-up

Jewellery worn should reflect the business-rich ethos of a school in our Trust.

  • Pupils are limited to one ear stud in each ear only.
  • Where pupils choose to wear wrist watches, these must not have social media, texting or telephone calls or receiving capabilities.
  • No facial jewellery, including nose, tongue or eyebrow piercings are permitted, as these represent a health and safety risk in school when mixing with other students at social times and in PE and other practical subjects such as drama.
  • Ear piercings and watches must be removed before pupils participate in PE lessons or sports events.
  • Extreme hairstyles are not permitted.
  • Students may wear discreet make-up suitable for the professional workplace; this does not include fake eyelashes of excessive length.
  • No coloured nail varnish is permitted or fake nails and nails of excessive length.
