ADMISSIONS: NOW OPEN FOR SEPT 2026

If you’re interested in exploring our Sixth Form to join us in September 2026, please book your ticket for our open event on Thursday 13 November here, and then read on. 

To join the Sixth Form applicants must meet specific academic criteria and demonstrate a positive attitude towards learning.  

All students can apply, provided they are 16 or 17 years of age when they join Year 12. All applicants will be invited to attend an interview with a member of the Sixth Form team and will be considered for a place in the Sixth Form. 

All prospective Sixth Form students can apply to the Sixth Form following our Open Evening for entry the following September. Application Forms must be returned by the end of January and are followed up by interviews in February and March. Formal offers will be made by letter after the Easter holidays and admission to the Sixth Form will be confirmed following GCSE results in August. 

Academic entry criteria

All subjects require at least a Grade 4 in English Language and Mathematics. Individual departments set specific entry criteria for the courses they offer. However, contextual offers may be made in extreme circumstances.  

Key dates for Sixth Form applicants 

November 2025: 

13 November open evening. Book your ticket here and come and explore our subject options and great careers and pastoral support.

Applications for September 2026 entry will open. Applications can be done via this school website and link to follow coming soon. 

January 2026: 

Applications for September 2026 entry will close, though we will still consider late applications. 

February 2026: 

Sixth Form interviews will begin. These will be held with one member of the Sixth Form Team during school hours. Letters will be sent out with appointment times. 

April 2026: 

Sixth Form interviews will finish. Offer letters will be sent out. 

May 2026: 

Final confirmation of offers for September 2026, which will follow students accepting or declining their offer. This will allow us to finalise the timetable and ensure we are ready for September. 

August 2026: 

GCSE Results Day, with confirmation of places in the Sixth Form for September 2026. On this day, students will be given a letter confirming their place in the Sixth Form if they have met the entry requirements agreed at their interview. If students have not met these entry requirements, a member of the Sixth Form Team or the Careers Advisor will be available to help them.
