Students have the opportunity to take part in cultural trips and international trips experiences like Camps International, as well as extracurricular opportunities
16-19 Bursary
No student should be disadvantaged by continuing with their education Post 16. Here at The Bicester School there are two types of bursaries available a discretionary and a vulnerable. The 16-19 Bursary Fund has been set up by the government to support young people who face financial barriers to continuing in Post-16 education or training. If you think you might need some financial support to complete your course and you think you might be eligible, please apply as soon as possible.

Partnerships & Programmes
We work closely with several organisations that offer great experiences to young people, including Oxford Brookes University. We also support students taking part in the Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award, the National Citizenship Service and Young Enterprise.
Assemblies & guest speakers
Weekly assemblies cover current issues and democracy. Guest speakers have included national leaders in health, tech and education.
Volunteering & charity
Year 12 students are encouraged to complete 20 hours of volunteering and help run fundraising events through the Sixth Form Charity Committee.
Work experience
All students undertake a work placement – typically in Year 12 – to develop workplace skills and explore career interests.
Student leadership
Students can apply for leadership roles and are elected by peers, playing an active part in Sixth Form life.
